CHPO x Vischan

The word “vischan” is a Swedish expression used to describe the countryside, often with an emphasis on remoteness. It is also a state of mind, a place where you have left everything and everyone behind.

But above all, Vischan is the northernmost skate brand in the world. Located just 120 km south of the Polar Circle, the sun never sets during summer and doesn’t bother to show up at all during winter. So it’s easy to say there is a very clear high and low season.

CHPO and Vischan thrive on the low season. Why would we otherwise even live in Sweden? That’s why we decided to release a skateboard and a pair of sunglasses in late February, when there is hardly any sun to speak of and nowhere to skate. Some might call it stupid, but we were just thinking outside the box.

If there were any other skate and sunglasses brands in northern Sweden collaborating, they would definitely release their collection in summer. But not us. Because we are in a Vischan state of mind.

Low season for life!
