Product Care

We want your sunglasses to look good and your watch to keep ticking for as long as possible. To keep your CHPO products in good condition, please follow our product care guidelines below.

Watches

The watch contains a precision movement.
Any and all work, including battery replacement, required within the guarantee period is recommended to be carried out by a certified watch technician or dealer.

The battery is a button cell, silver oxide (sr626sw) battery and is replaced by removing the case back.

Do not expose the watch to extremes of temperature, or rapid changes of temperature.

The watch is designed to withstand impact under normal use, it must not be subjected to severe impacts, or dropped onto hard surfaces.

Keep the watch away from magnetic fields. Watches can be adversely affected by magnetism and may gain or lose time. It is important not to leave a watch close to magnetic objects for a long time. In particular, cell phones, television and PC speakers, magnetic necklaces, handbag clasps, hair-driers, electric razors, magnetic parts of refrigerators are all magnetic. An affected watch remains magnetically charged even after being removed from the magnetic source.

Only clean the case with a soft cloth, moistened with water. Do not use chemicals, solvents or soap, as these can damage the seals and finish of your watch.

Do not expose the watch to strong chemicals such as petrol, solvents or adhesives, as these can seriously damage both the waterproof seals, and the finish of your watch.

Do not attempt to fold or bend the metal mesh wristbands.

The watches have been designed, manufactured, and tested for water-resistance to the depth stated on the back of the case.

Goggles

Always bring your goggles in for the night. This allows them to dry out in a cool and shaded environment so you're ready for the next day. And remember to let them air dry before storing them.

Use a soft cloth meant for goggles to clean them. Using a harsh fabric will scratch the lens.

Avoid touching the inside of your lens. If you do, you could ruin your lens for good. No matter how gentle you are, the inside should never be touched. Especially not when wet. This could cause damage to the anti-fog coating.

Never use the hand dryer to dry your goggles. Not only can it melt your lens, but extreme temperature change can produce water in between the lens, or even crack the lens.

Don’t wear a facemask and your goggles at the same time when you are not riding. The facemask supplies warm, moist air into the lower vents every time you breathe, creating moisture-rich air in the lens which can cause fogging.

Our goggles are not for hiking. We know it is a great way to get a perfect goggle tan, but when your body is hot and the air is cold, it can cause your goggles to fog. Tip from the coach: keep a pair of CHPO sunglasses in your pocket and swap out before hiking.

Don’t rip ice away from the vents. It is ok to brush snow off or carefully tap it on your leg but be careful when your vents ice up. If you pull the ice away it can tear the foam vents. If that happens snow will pour into your goggle getting the lens wet eventually causing fogging and you will have to buy a new frame.

All our snow goggles have a 1-year warranty against defects in production. Stuff you do, like scratch the lens or wear them while playing rugby, is not covered by the warranty.
